The Company in brief

Compagnie de Mont Choisy Limitée has been in operation for over a century and is a key contributor to the Mauritian economy. The Company was mainly active in agriculture, including sugarcane cultivation in the 1820s, and thereafter aloe vera cultivation, poultry (chickens and ducks) and deer farming with a major contribution to development of the northern region of the island.

In line with changes in the Mauritian economy and the emergence of new sectors, the Group has embarked on a diversification strategy at the start of the new millennium to expand its activities into sectors such as Property, Leisure and Commercial. Compagnie de Mont Choisy Limitée has also strengthened its social and environmental commitment for the well-being of communities in which it operates.
